Padiddling facts for kids
Padiddling is a cool trick where you spin an object on the flat part of your finger, like your fingertip. It's different from other spinning tricks because you have to keep moving your finger in circles to keep the object going!
People who do padiddling often use things like lunch trays from the cafeteria or flying discs (like a frisbee). But you can also try spinning other everyday items such as books, frying pans, magazines, pillows, and even laptop computers!
History of Padiddling
Padiddling became quite popular in the 1970s, especially during freestyle disk (frisbee) competitions. It was a really exciting part of these events. However, by the early 1980s, it wasn't as popular anymore.
Famous Padiddlers
During its most popular time, many talented people used padiddling in competitions. Some of the well-known padiddlers included John Dwork, Jason Salkey, Richie Smits, Joey Hudoklin, and Randy Silvey. They were very skilled at keeping objects spinning on their fingers!
The Padiddlers Association
For a short time, there was even a group called the Padiddlers Association of the World, or PAW for short. Some of its notable members were John Anthony, Bill King, and Jim Brown.
