Paige Nicole Sander (born June 21, 1995) is a former American volleyball player. She was a powerful middle blocker on the court. Paige played college volleyball for the University of Minnesota. She was an amazing player there from 2013 to 2016. Later, she joined the U.S. national team. With the national team, she helped win gold medals. These wins were at the Pan-American Cup in both 2017 and 2018. She also played in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix tournament.

About Paige Sander's Life

Paige Sander grew up in Stewartville, Minnesota. She started playing volleyball at Stewartville High School.

Paige has a twin sister named Hannah. Hannah also played volleyball with Paige. They were teammates at the University of Minnesota. They also played together on the U.S. national team. In 2022, Paige married Brenden Sander. He was also a player for the men's national team.

Playing for Minnesota University

Paige started her college volleyball career in 2013. She played for the University of Minnesota. In her first year, she played in 21 sets.

In 2014, Paige became a Third Team All-American. This is a big honor for college athletes. She played in almost every set that season. She started all 31 matches. Paige was great at blocking the ball. She averaged 1.55 blocks per set. This was the second-best in her school's history. She was the third-best blocker in the country. She also led the Big Ten Conference in blocks per set. Paige also played for the U.S. Collegiate Team.

In 2015, Paige played for Team USA again. This time, it was at the World University Games in South Korea. For Minnesota, she started all 35 matches. She played in all 129 sets. She was second on her team in blocks. She was also third in kills and points. Minnesota made it to the NCAA final four in 2015. Paige had 13 kills in that match. But Minnesota lost to the University of Texas.

During her last year in 2016, Minnesota reached the NCAA final four again. Paige helped her team win against UCLA. She had 7 kills in that important match. In the final four, she had seven kills and five blocks. But Minnesota lost to Stanford, who became the national champions. After her senior year, Paige won the Senior CLASS Award. She was the first Minnesota player in any sport to win it. She finished her college career with 783 kills, 249 digs, and 495 blocks.

Playing for the U.S. National Team

After college, Paige joined the U.S. senior national team. With the team, she won two gold medals. These were at the Pan-American Cup in 2017 and 2018. She also played in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix tournament. Her team finished in 5th place at that event.

Playing for Professional Clubs

Paige also played professional volleyball. She played in Puerto Rico from 2016 to 2017. Then she played in Germany from 2017 to 2019.
