Panagiotis Bachramis (Greek: Παναγιώτης Μπαχράμης) was a Greek professional footballer. He was born on March 12, 1976, in Kalamata, Greece. He played as a midfielder for many years. Sadly, Panagiotis passed away on August 13, 2010, in Kyparissia.

Panagiotis Bachramis: A Football Star

Panagiotis Bachramis started his football journey in his hometown of Kalamata. He began playing with a local team called Apollon Kalamata in the Fourth Division. This was the very beginning of his exciting career.

Early Career and Rise to Fame

In 1994, Panagiotis joined Kalamata F.C., a bigger club in his city. He played for them for seven seasons. During this time, he played in both the First and Second Divisions of Greek football. He made his first appearance in the top league when he was just 19 years old. This was in a big 5–0 win against AEL in 1995.

Playing for Top Teams

In 2001, Panagiotis moved to Iraklis Thessaloniki F.C.. He played there for three years before joining AEL in 2004. At AEL, he helped the team get promoted to the First Division. He also played a key role when AEL won the Greek Football Cup in 2007. This was a big achievement for the team!

Panagiotis even played in the 2007-08 UEFA Cup, which is a European competition. His team, AEL, played against Blackburn Rovers F.C. from England. He finished his career playing for Veria F.C. in the Second Division. Throughout his career, he played over 280 matches in different leagues, cups, and European games.

His Unique Skills

Panagiotis Bachramis was known for being a very valuable player. Even though he sometimes had injuries, he was always important to his teams. He was fast, calm, and worked well with his teammates. He could also play in many different positions on the field, which made him very useful.

There's a famous story about him even playing as a goalkeeper! This happened on April 12, 2006, during a Greek Cup semi-final match. The regular goalkeeper got injured, and since all the team's substitutions had been used, Panagiotis stepped in to play in goal for the last few minutes. This shows how dedicated and versatile he was!

Panagiotis also played for the Greece national under-21 football team. He was part of the team that qualified for the 1998 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship finals in 1997. Unfortunately, he couldn't play in the finals because of an injury.
