Pandanus Park is an Aboriginal community in Western Australia. It is about 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Derby. This community is in the Kimberley region.
Pandanus Park sits on the banks of the Fitzroy River. It is also close to the Great Northern Highway. The community is part of the Shire of Derby–West Kimberley.
Native Title Rights
Native title means that Aboriginal people have special rights to their traditional lands. These rights are recognized by Australian law. For Pandanus Park, the Federal Court has said that the Nyikina Mangala People have these rights.
