Panzerchrist facts for kids
Panzerchrist is a Danish band that plays a type of music called blackened death metal. This means their music is usually very loud, fast, and intense. The band was started in 1993 or 1994 by Michael Enevoldsen and Danish artist Lasse Hoile.
The Story of Panzerchrist
Panzerchrist began by recording a few demo songs. These are like early recordings to show their music. Soon after, they signed with a company called Serious Entertainment. Their first album, Six Seconds Kill, came out in 1996. Two years later, in 1998, they released another album called Outpost Fort Europa.
In the year 2000, new members joined the band. Reno Killerich, a talented drummer, and Bo Summer became part of Panzerchrist. Together, they recorded the album Soul Collector. This album was special because its songs focused on themes from World War II and had German lyrics. Mighty Music released Soul Collector in 2000.
New Members and Room Service
More changes happened in 2002 when Frederik O'Carroll and Rasmus Henriksen joined Panzerchrist. They started working on a new album called Room Service. This album was known for its very loud and fast songs. It even included a cover of a classic song called "Metal Church" by the band Metal Church.
Room Service was recorded at a famous studio called "Antfarm Studios" with producer Tue Madsen. Mighty Music released this album in 2003. An interesting fact about Room Service is that the name of each song is the very first word sung in that song. Also, almost every song on the album ends with the words "Death, forever panzer." The only exception is the "Metal Church" cover song.
Battalion Beast Album
In 2006, drummer Reno Killerich returned to Panzerchrist. Karina Bundgaard also joined the band, playing keyboards. They all worked together to record the album Battalion Beast. Neurotic Records released this album in 2006. On Battalion Beast, each song ends with the words "Christ, thy name is panzer."
