Salvia parryi (also called Parry's sage) is a type of plant. It's a small, woody plant that lives for many years. It is found only in certain areas, which means it is endemic to those places. These areas are northern Mexico (in a state called Sonora), southwestern New Mexico, and southern Arizona in the United States.
This plant grows in places that are quite high up, usually between 3,500 to 5,000 feet (about 1,067 to 1,524 meters) above sea level.
Traditional Uses of Parry's Sage
Long ago, native people living in the areas where Parry's sage grows used parts of the plant for medicine. They would prepare the roots to help treat stomach problems.
