Starting Her Career
Pascale Sourisse was born in Nantes, France. She studied at two famous French schools: École Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech. These schools are known for training engineers and leaders.
After her studies, Pascale started her career in the mid-1980s. She worked in management at companies like Compagnie Générale des Eaux (now Vivendi) and Jeumont-Schneider Telecom. These roles helped her gain experience in business.
From 1987 to 1990, she worked for France Telecom. There, she was in charge of the business network division for the Paris area. Later, she spent four years working for the French government. She led a division at the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade, focusing on electronics and communication.
Leading in Space Technology
Pascale Sourisse joined Alcatel Space in 1995. This company was a big player in the space industry. She started as the director for strategy and planning.
In 1997, she became the president and CEO of SkyBridge LP. This company was working on a new idea: creating a worldwide network using satellites to provide fast internet services.
Later, in 2002, she became the CEO of Alcatel Space. Then, in 2005, she was named president and CEO of Alcatel Alenia Space. This company later became known as Thales Alenia Space. She was also part of Thales's executive committee, which is a group of top leaders who make important decisions for the company.
From 2002 to 2008, Pascale Sourisse was also the president of Eurospace. This is an organization that brings together most of the space companies in Europe. It works to support and develop the European space industry.
Global Leadership at Thales Group
In May 2007, Pascale Sourisse was again appointed president and CEO of Thales Alenia Space. This shows her strong leadership in the space sector.
On May 1, 2008, she moved to another big role within the Thales Group. She became the senior vice president for Land and Joint systems. This division works on important defense and security systems.
Since February 2013, she has been the senior executive vice-president for international development at Thales. In this role, she helps the company grow its business around the world.

Pascale Sourisse has received high honors from France. She is an Officer of the Légion d’honneur and a Commander of the National Order of Merit. These awards recognize her important contributions to her country.
