Patrick Lange (born on 25 August 1986) is a super athlete from Germany. He is known for competing in duathlon and triathlon races. Patrick is a three-time champion of the Ironman World Championship. He set amazing new records in 2017, 2018, and 2024.
Patrick was also the German champion in duathlon from 2010 to 2013. In 2012 and 2013, he won the German team triathlon championship. He competed with the EJOT Team TV Buschhütten.
In 2008, Patrick won the military world championships for team triathlon in Estonia. He also earned a bronze medal in 2012. This was for the ITU Duathlon Short Distance World Championships mixed team event in Nancy, France.

Patrick's Amazing Wins
Patrick Lange has achieved incredible success in the Ironman World Championship. This is one of the toughest races in the world. It combines swimming, biking, and running over long distances.
First Big Win in 2017
In 2016, Patrick had a great race at the Ironman World Championships. He finished third, showing everyone his talent. The next year, in 2017, he won the Ironman World Championship for the first time. He finished the race in 8 hours, 1 minute, and 40 seconds. This time was a new record for the course! He beat the old record set by Craig Alexander in 2011.
Breaking Records in 2018
Patrick won the Ironman World Championships again in 2018. This was his second win in a row. He set another new course record with a time of 7 hours, 52 minutes, and 38 seconds. This was the first time anyone finished the race in under 8 hours! It was a truly historic moment in triathlon.
Another Record in 2024
Patrick Lange won the Ironman World Championship for a third time in 2024. He finished with an incredible time of 7 hours, 35 minutes, and 53 seconds. This set yet another new course record. During this race, he also set a new marathon record for the Ironman World Championships. His running time was 2 hours, 32 minutes, and 41 seconds. This broke a record he had set himself back in 2017.
Other Great Races
In 2023, Patrick competed in the Ironman World Championships held in Nice, France. He finished in second place with a time of 8 hours, 10 minutes, and 17 seconds. This showed his consistent performance at the highest level.
Patrick trains with his coach, Ben Reszel. He competes for the DSW 1912 Darmstadt team.
