Patron the DepthMC, also known as Olo Kamen, is an American writer and musician. He is a screenwriter, author, rapper, and singer-songwriter. He taught himself to play the piano. Patron the DepthMC was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and now lives in Los Angeles, California.
His first album, With Character, came out in 2012. It was released by Interscope Records. He created all the music and played all the instruments on this album himself. In 2015, he stopped making music to focus on writing. He wrote a TV series called "The New World." This series is also being turned into a book. He is currently working on another TV series, "Beautiful Scars," with Sony Pictures Television.

Patron's Journey: Life and Career
Patron the DepthMC was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania. His parents are both from Jamaica. His family moved a lot when he was young. He went to 13 different schools before college. They moved between Florida and Maryland until Baltimore became his home.
In high school, he ran high hurdles in track. He also worked as an intern at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He started playing the saxophone at age sixteen. He was inspired after hearing the album "Breathless" by Kenny G. His family was very religious, so only church music was allowed at home.
He received a scholarship to Columbia Union College because of his running skills. He started studying to become a heart surgeon. He taught himself to play the piano. Within six months, he was performing for large crowds of five thousand people. After three semesters, he moved to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
He left UMBC after his third semester. He moved to Los Angeles, California. For three years, he worked many jobs to support himself. Sometimes, he lived without a stable home. During this time, he played piano on the promenades in Santa Monica and Venice Beach.
His big break came when he wrote a song called "The Glory" for Olympic programming. This song was published by RIM music group. He then released two solo piano albums. These albums led to tours around the world. He also got a record deal with High Horse Records. He performed in many places across Japan and Europe. Later, he began making his own original beats. He mixed these beats with his piano music. He produced and mixed them himself. He also created music for several commercials in Europe. This led to a publishing deal with WAP Publishing in London, England.
His First Hip Hop Album: With Character (2012)
In 2012, Patron the DepthMC released his first hip hop album. It was called With Character. Interscope Records helped distribute it. The album's release led to performances around the world. He also appeared on television in Europe. He was featured on mixtapes like "The Formula" and "Power of Mixtape."
Two official songs were released from this album. They were "She Said No" and "Obama We Can Stand Together." The song "Obama We Can Stand Together" was made to support Barack Obama's presidency. All the money from this song was given to Barack Obama's 2012 election campaign.
Starting His Own Label: L.N.C. Music (2013)
Patron the DepthMC started his own music company. It was called L.N.C. Music LLC. Between his first album and his later work, he created a song called "One Deep." This song was nominated for best single at the Independent Hip Hop Music Awards. He also released "Socrates Plagiarized a Pharaoh." This song was available for free download during Black History Month.
He worked with a producer named "Jahbez" on the first part of his second album. He also used beats from "Freak". His next album, L.N.C. Part II., was released on September 11, 2013. He released a single from this album, "Don't Stop Now," on August 30 of that year. He also appeared on Vibe TV and gave a video interview for Vibe magazine.
