Paul Kyser, born on December 6, 1943, is an American music expert. He has many roles in the music world, including being a promoter, owning record labels, singing, writing songs, and producing music. He helped create many popular songs. For example, he co-produced the hit song "Dawning of Love" for the group Devotion. He also wrote "Body and Soul (That's the Way It's Got to Be)" for Soul Generation and "Where Were You (When I Needed You)" for Jimmy Briscoe and the Little Beavers. Paul Kyser also helped discover the group Jimmy Briscoe & The Little Beavers.

Early Productions with Girl Groups
One of Paul Kyser's first productions was for a girl group called The Teardrops. This group, from New Jersey, released the songs "Wait For Me" and "Birdies and Memories" in 1964. The lead singer, Rhonda Franklin, later joined another group called The Superbs. The Superbs recorded "Love's Unpredictable" in 1968.
Hits with Devotion and Soul Generation
In 1971, Paul Kyser worked with Tom Vetri to produce music for the group Devotion. Their song "Dawning of Love" became a hit, reaching number 41 on the Cash Box R&B chart and number 49 on the Billboard Best Selling Soul Singles chart.
In 1972, Paul Kyser's song "Body and Soul (That's the Way It's Got to Be)", recorded by Soul Generation, reached number 27 on the R&B chart.
Disco Hits and Collaborations
Paul Kyser also wrote the song "Hypertension" with Leon Stuckey. This song was a hit for the group Calendar in 1975. It reached number 12 on the Billboard Disco Action chart and number 10 on the Record Mirror UK Disco Chart.
In 1977, Kyser wrote and produced "Invitation to the World" for Jimmy Briscoe & The Little Beavers. This song reached number 91 on the US R&B chart. He also produced "Into The Milky Way" for the same group in 1979, which he co-wrote with Leon Stuckey.
In 1989, Paul Kyser had another big success with "Babies Having Babies" by Terry Tate. Kyser produced and co-wrote this song. It reached number 14 on the Cash Box Top R&B Singles chart and number 10 on the Billboard Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 18 weeks.
More recently, Kyser and Renee Connel wrote "Up Down" for singer Parker J. This song appeared on her first album, "Lifeline," and entered the Digital Radio Tracker's Global Top 200 Airplay Chart at number 81.

Pi Kappa Records
Paul Kyser also created the New Jersey-based label Pi Kappa Records. From 1973 to 1976, this label released music from artists like Jimmy Briscoe and The Little Beavers, Calendar, Storm, and the Super Disco Band.
Wanderick Label
He also set up the Wanderick label as a part of TK Records. This label was used to release recordings by Jimmy Briscoe And The Beavers from 1977 to 1978.
