Paul Andrew Schneider is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Dick Liddil in the western movie The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007). He also had a main role as Mark Brendanawicz in the first and second seasons of the TV show Parks and Recreation (2009–10).
Paul Schneider also starred in the romantic drama film All the Real Girls (2003) and the comedy film The Babymakers (2012). He helped write All the Real Girls and was nominated for an award for his acting in it. He has also appeared in many other movies like Lars and the Real Girl (2007) and Water for Elephants (2011). For his role in the movie Bright Star (2009), he won an award for Best Supporting Actor. He also won Best Actor at the Tribeca Film Festival for his work in Goodbye to All That (2014).

Paul Schneider was born in Oakland, California. He grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. He went to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and graduated from there.
Paul Schneider's Acting Career
Paul Schneider started his movie career in 2000 in a film called George Washington. He also starred in All the Real Girls. For his role in the movie Elizabethtown, the director suggested he spend five days with the band My Morning Jacket. Paul went with the band to several concerts to prepare for his part.
After Elizabethtown, Paul had smaller roles in movies like The Family Stone and Live Free or Die. In 2007, he played Gus Lindstrom in Lars and the Real Girl. He also played Dick Liddil in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. A magazine called Variety named him one of "Ten Actors to Watch."
In 2008, Paul Schneider directed his first independent film called Pretty Bird. That same year, he played President William Henry Harrison in a TV show. In 2009, he appeared as Charles Armitage Brown in Bright Star. For this role, he won the Best Supporting Actor Award from the National Society of Film Critics. He also played Courtney Farlander in Away We Go.
One of his most famous roles was as Mark Brendanawicz in the TV series Parks and Recreation. He was a main character in the first two seasons from 2009 to 2010. He left the show because he felt his character was not being used enough.
In 2018, Paul Schneider performed on Broadway for the first time in a play called Straight White Men. Critics praised his performance in the play.
Paul Schneider's Personal Life
On April 16, 2016, Paul Schneider married Theresa Avila. She is a special therapist who helps people. Theresa also helped start a group called The World Lens Foundation, and Paul is on its board. They have two daughters named Lou and Rae. Paul Schneider is also an Ambassador for the Innocence Project, which helps people who have been wrongly accused of crimes.
