Pavel Chihaia (born April 23, 1922 – died June 18, 2019) was a famous Romanian writer. He was born in a town called Corabia. His very first novel, titled Blocada (which means The Blockade), came out in 1947. This book was published just before a time when communist leaders took control of Romania. His novel was part of a group that did not agree with the communist ideas. Later, in 1978, he moved away from Romania to live in the German city of Munich.
