A Long History of Cheese

How Old Are They?

Paxton & Whitfield officially started their business in 1797. But their story actually goes back even further! They had a market stall in a place called Aldwych as early as 1742. That means they have been involved in selling cheese for over 280 years!

They first had a shop at 19 Jermyn Street in London. Then, in 1894, they moved to their current location at 93 Jermyn Street. That building has been their home for over 130 years!

Serving the Royal Family

Paxton & Whitfield is so special that they have a 'Royal Warrant'. This means they are officially chosen to supply cheese to the British Royal Family!

Their connection to the Royal Family goes way back to Queen Victoria in 1850. Today, they hold a Royal Warrant from King Charles III. This shows how much the Royal Family trusts them to provide excellent cheese.
