Peñón Blanco is a city in the Mexican state of Durango. It's also the main town of the Peñón Blanco municipality.
This city is located in the central part of Durango. It sits north of an area known as Los Llanos y los Valles. Peñón Blanco shares its borders with several other places. To the north, it borders Nazas. To the west, it borders San Juan del Río. Cuencamé is to the east, and Guadalupe Victoria is to the south.
In 2010, the town of Peñón Blanco had a population of 5,271 people.

The biggest celebration in Peñón Blanco is La Feria de San Diego de Alcalá. This special event happens every year on November 13. It's a time for many fun activities.
