The Story of Peñafiel
How Peñafiel Started
Peñafiel began its journey in a place called Tehuacán, Puebla, Mexico. This was around the year 1928. Tehuacán is famous for its natural spring waters.
Growing and Changing
Over the years, Peñafiel has grown a lot. It now offers different types of drinks. These include Naturel, Twist, and Classic versions.
In 1992, a big company called Cadbury Schweppes bought Peñafiel. This helped Peñafiel become even more popular. They started making new flavors and packaging.
New Flavors and Healthier Choices
In August 2003, Peñafiel launched Peñafiel Twist. This drink added fruit flavors to the mineral water. It also had much fewer calories than regular sodas.
Then, in April 2004, they introduced Peñafiel Naturel. This version uses no artificial sweeteners. It also has about 75% fewer calories than most sugary drinks.
Today, Peñafiel is part of the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. This company sells over 50 different drink brands across North America.
