History of the Castle
Long ago, Peñas de San Pedro was home to a strong castle called the Castle of San Pedro Peñas. People believed this castle was very powerful and hard to attack. Sadly, the castle is no longer standing today.
Important Religious Sites
Peñas de San Pedro is a place with a rich religious history. It has a special church dedicated to Lady of La Esperanza. This church is built in the beautiful Baroque style. The town is also home to the sanctuary of Christ Crucified Sahuco, which is another important religious building.
