Pedro García Ferrer facts for kids
Pedro García Ferrer (1583–1660) was a Spanish painter. He was also a church official, sometimes called "the Licentiate." He became well-known for his art in Valencia.
Pedro García Ferrer created many paintings for churches. He painted some pictures for the altar of San Vicente Ferrer. This altar was located in the San Domingo convent. He also worked as an artist in Madrid, another important city in Spain.
Famous Works and Recognition
One of his notable paintings is a Crucifixion. This artwork was created in 1632. A famous writer named Cean Bermudez wrote about it. At one point, this painting was owned by Don Mariano Ferrer. He was the secretary of the Academy of San Carlos.
