Peet Marais: His Rugby Journey

Peet Marais started his rugby career playing for youth teams. He played for the Griffons in his hometown of Welkom. This was when he was still a young player, learning the game.

Playing for the Sharks

In 2009, Peet joined the Sharks team in Durban. This was a big step in his career. He made his first professional appearance in 2011. This was during the 2011 Vodacom Cup competition.

He played against the Blue Bulls in that first game. Over the next four seasons, Peet played 49 matches for the Sharks. He scored 5 points during his time with the team.

Peet was also part of the Sharks' Super Rugby squad. This was in the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Super Rugby is a very competitive league. However, he did not get to play in any Super Rugby matches.

Moving to France

In May 2014, news came out that Peet was moving to France. He signed a two-year contract with a French team called CA Brive. The club officially confirmed this on July 2, 2014.
