Pelle og Proffen facts for kids
Pelle og Proffen is a popular Norwegian book series for young people. It was written by Ingvar Ambjørnsen. The stories are about two teenage boys, Pelle and Proffen, who live in Oslo. They become detectives and solve all sorts of mysteries. These mysteries often involve big problems like pollution or dangerous groups. The stories usually happen in Oslo, but sometimes they travel to other parts of Norway. Pelle and Proffen are a bit like the famous Hardy Boys detectives.
Pelle is the one who tells all the stories. He lives in an apartment in a part of Oslo called Torshov. Proffen lives in the apartment right below Pelle's. This is handy because they can even reach each other through a special way between Pelle's floor and Proffen's roof!
Together, they work to figure out the mysteries they stumble upon. Proffen is usually the smarter one. He loves to read detective books, which helps him think like a real investigator. Proffen also has an older brother who is a journalist for a Norwegian newspaper called Dagbladet. His brother helps the boys by giving them secret information he learns from his job.
Some of the books in the series became very successful movies. These include Døden på Oslo S, Giftige Løgner, and De Blå Ulvene. The movie Døden på Oslo S became especially well-known. It showed a different side of Oslo, exploring the challenges some people face in the city.
