Besides Pepinot and Capucine, other characters joined the fun. One was Mr. Black, who was a pet bear. In the French version, he was called l'Ours. Another character was Mr. White. He was an inventor. On the French show, he was known as Monsieur Blanc.

After 1954, the French series changed its name. It was simply called Pépinot. This new show continued for many years. Episodes were even re-broadcast until mid-1973.
