Peter Fox's Music Journey
Starting a Solo Adventure
In 2007, Peter Fox began working on his own music album. He called it Stadtaffe, which means "Urban Ape." This album came out in Germany on September 26, 2008. Two producers, Monk and DJ Illvibe, helped him create the album. The Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg (a German film orchestra) and Cold Steel Drumline also added their musical talents.
Before the album was fully released, a part of his song "Fieber" ("Fever") was shared online in November 2007. He sang this song with the group K.I.Z. The first official song from the album, "Alles neu" ("Everything New"), was released in August 2008. Then, "Haus am See" ("House by the Lake") came out in October 2008.
Working with Other Artists
Peter Fox has also worked with many other musicians. He sang on the song "Marry Me" by Miss Platnum. He also appeared on "Rodeo" by Sido and "Sekundenschlaf" by Marteria.
In 2009, Peter Fox won the Bundesvision Song Contest. This is a music competition in Germany. He won with his song "Schwarz zu blau" ("Black to Blue"). This song talks about his home city, Berlin, and what it's like from night to morning.
Returning to Seeed and New Music
After his solo album Stadtaffe became very popular, Peter Fox felt a lot of pressure. He decided to go back to making music with his band, Seeed. His song "Haus am See" was one of the best-selling songs in Germany in both 2008 and 2009.
Another famous artist, English rapper Plan B, used a part of Peter Fox's song "Alles neu" in his own track "Ill Manors" in 2012.
Even though Peter Fox said he was done with solo music in 2009, he surprised fans. He released a new song called "Zukunft Pink" in October 2022. His second solo album, Love Songs, was then released on May 26, 2023.

A Unique Look
In late 2001, Peter Fox had a health issue called facial nerve paralysis. This meant that one side of his face became slightly weak. It wasn't treated quickly enough, so the right side of his face is still a little bit paralyzed. This has become a part of his unique and recognizable look.
