Peter Stoner (born June 16, 1888 – died March 21, 1980) was an American writer and a professor. He taught mathematics and astronomy at Pasadena City College. Later, he was also a professor at Westmont College.

Stoner is most famous for his book called Science Speaks. In this book, he looked at predictions found in the Bible. He used math and probability to study these predictions. Probability is about how likely something is to happen.
His book became very well known. This happened when another writer, Josh McDowell, mentioned it in his own book, Evidence that Demands a Verdict, in 1972.
