Helping New Artists Shine

In 2001, the festival started a special award called the Emerging Artist Award. This award helps young, talented musicians from the Peterborough area. It's given every year to an artist who shows great skill. They need to be good at writing songs and performing them live. The very first person to win this award was the famous Canadian musician Serena Ryder.
