Phoenix, Louisiana facts for kids
Phoenix is a small community located in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
Phoenix is found on the east side of the mighty Mississippi River. You can reach it by driving on Louisiana Highway 39. It's right across the river from another place called Myrtle Grove. Phoenix is also very close to an important historical spot called Fort De La Boulaye Site. This fort is so special that it's known as a National Historic Landmark.

The Plaquemines Parish School Board helps run the public schools in the area. Kids in Phoenix can go to Phoenix High School, which teaches students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.
