Viphurit Siritip (born in 1995), known as Phum (pronounced "Poom"), is a singer and songwriter from Thailand. He became famous around the world in 2018. This happened because of his popular song called "Lover Boy".

Phum's music mixes different styles, especially a type of music called neo soul. This style often blends soul music with modern sounds.

About Phum Viphurit

Phum Viphurit was born in Bangkok, Thailand. His dad is an architect, and his mom is a graphic designer. When Phum was 9 years old, his family moved to Hamilton, New Zealand.

While living in New Zealand, Phum got his first musical instrument. It was a drum set, which he had wanted since he was very little. However, he had to stop playing the drums. The sound was too loud and bothered the neighbors! So, Phum started playing the guitar instead.

When he was 18, Phum moved back to Thailand. He went to study at Mahidol University International College.

Phum's Music Journey

Back in Thailand, Phum started to get noticed. He shared his own songs and cover songs on YouTube. Soon, he signed with an independent music company called Rats Records.

In 2017, Phum released his first album, which was called Manchild. After that, he released two more songs: "Long Gone" and "Lover Boy". The music videos for these songs became very popular online. This helped him become famous all over the world.

In 2018, Phum went on a big international tour. He performed in many countries, including Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, England, the United States, and Singapore. In 2019, he released another song called "Hello Anxiety". He also toured the United States for a second time.
