Pia Merete Tjelta (born September 12, 1977, in Stavanger) is a well-known Norwegian actress. She has appeared in many films and TV series, making her a familiar face in Norway.
Pia Tjelta started her acting journey at a special school called the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre. She began her studies there in 2000 and finished in 2006. Even before graduating, she was already acting in movies. Her first film role was in 2001 in a movie called Mongoland. In 2005, she also helped judge a TV show called Filmstjerne on TV 2, where people competed to become film stars.
