Piyapong Pue-on (Thai: ปิยะพงษ์ ผิวอ่อน; RTGS: Piyaphong Phio-on) was born Padej Khankruea (Thai: เผด็จ ขันเครือ; RTGS: Phadet Khankhruea) on November 14, 1959. He is a famous Thai former football player. Piyapong played as a striker, which means he was a key player for scoring goals. He was also an important member of the Thailand national team.

Playing for Clubs
Piyapong Pue-on played for several football clubs during his career. He was known for his amazing goal-scoring skills.
Time with Royal Thai Air Force
Piyapong started his senior career with the Royal Thai Air Force team. He played for them from 1979 to 1984. He later returned to the team in 1989 and played until 1997. During his time with the Royal Thai Air Force, he played 393 games and scored an impressive 255 goals.
Playing in South Korea
In August 1984, Piyapong joined K League club Lucky-Goldstar FC in South Korea. He quickly made an impact, scoring in his very first game on September 8 against POSCO Dolphins.
Piyapong was a big reason why Lucky-Goldstar became the K League champions in 1985. He scored 12 goals and made 6 assists that season. His jersey from Lucky-Goldstar FC is even on display at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History.
Playing in Malaysia
After his time in South Korea, Piyapong played for Pahang FA in Malaysia from 1986 to 1989. He continued his excellent goal-scoring form there, scoring 70 goals in 61 games. He helped Pahang FA win the Malaysian League in 1987.
Playing for Thailand
Piyapong Pue-on played for the Thailand national team for a long time, from 1981 to 1997. He played in 100 international matches and scored 70 goals for his country. This makes him one of Thailand's top goal scorers ever.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing, Piyapong became a football coach. He coached the Royal Thai Air Force football club from 1997 to 2008. He led them to win the Thai Premier League twice, in 1997 and 1999. He also coached the TPL All-Star team and Nakhon Pathom.
Life Outside Football
Piyapong Pue-on also appeared in a movie! He was in the 2004 film Born to Fight.
