History of Plan-B Theatre
Plan-B Theatre started in 1991 and became an official company in 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah. When the COVID-19 pandemic happened, Plan-B changed its 30th anniversary season. Instead of live shows, they created a whole season of plays that people could listen to as audio dramas.
Awards and Recognition
Plan-B Theatre has received many awards for its work. They have been honored for supporting equality and human rights by groups like Equality Utah and the Human Rights Campaign. In 2015, they won Utah's Governor's Leadership in the Arts Award. They also received Salt Lake City's Mayor's Artist Award for their service to the arts.
The International Centre for Women Playwrights gave them the 50/50 Applause Award multiple times. This award recognizes theatres that produce an equal number of plays by women.
