This means it is an area that looks like a town but does not have its own local government. Prince George is also the county seat of Prince George County. A county seat is where the main government offices for the county are located.

In 2010, about 2,066 people lived in Prince George. It is part of the larger area around Richmond, Virginia. The land here is about 131 feet above sea level.

A special place called the Prince George County Courthouse Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. This means it is an important historical site that is protected.
