Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is an exciting action-adventure video game released in 2004. It is the follow-up to the popular 2003 game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. In this game, you play as the Prince, who is trying to change his destiny and escape a scary creature.
Gameplay Basics
In Warrior Within, the Prince is a powerful fighter. He can use two swords at the same time! This is called dual-wielding. You will battle many different enemies throughout the game. The combat is fast-paced and requires quick thinking. You can also use the environment to your advantage.
The Prince's Story
The Prince is in big trouble. A scary creature called the Dahaka is chasing him. The Dahaka is like a guardian of the timeline. It wants to kill the Prince because he changed history in the previous game. To escape his fate, the Prince sails to a mysterious place. This place is known as the Island of Time. He hopes to find a way to stop the Dahaka there.
Facing Your Destiny
On the Island of Time, the Prince meets a powerful empress named Kaileena. She holds secrets about the Sands of Time. The Prince believes that if he can defeat Kaileena, he can change his past. This would stop the Dahaka from hunting him. The story has two different endings. What happens depends on how well you play the game.
Two Possible Endings
- Ending 1: If the Prince does not find all the special health upgrades and a powerful weapon called the Water Sword, he will fight Kaileena. If he defeats her, the Dahaka will still appear. The Dahaka will then take a magical item called the Amulet of Time from the Prince.
- Ending 2: If the Prince finds all nine health upgrades and the Water Sword, he will face the Dahaka itself. The Prince learns that the Water Sword is the only weapon that can truly harm the Dahaka. This leads to a big final battle against the creature that has been chasing him.
