Princess Victoria's Wrestling Journey

Starting Her Wrestling Career

Vickie Otis learned how to wrestle in Portland, Oregon. Her trainer was a wrestling expert named Sandy Barr. Vickie often had exciting matches against another one of Sandy's students, Velvet McIntyre. They wrestled in both single matches and as a team in Vancouver All Star Wrestling.

Wrestling in the National Wrestling Alliance

Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre continued their wrestling rivalry. They competed for a group called NWA Pacific Northwest. This group was led by a promoter named Don Owen.

Eventually, Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre stopped being rivals. They decided to team up instead! This new team became very successful. They won the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship on May 13, 1984. This big win happened in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Time in the World Wrestling Federation

In 1983, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) became a separate wrestling organization. When Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre joined the WWF in 1984, they were already champions. They were recognized as the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship holders.

The team of Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre defended their titles many times. They had several matches against Wendi Richter and Peggy Lee. One of their famous matches was on April 23, 1984. It took place at Madison Square Garden.

On September 1, 1984, Princess Victoria had a serious injury. She hurt her neck while defending her tag team titles. This happened in Philadelphia. Because of this injury, she had to stop wrestling. The championship she held was retired soon after. Another wrestler, Desiree Petersen, later took Victoria's place in the WWF.

While in the WWF, Princess Victoria also wrestled in single matches. She challenged the WWF Women's Champion, The Fabulous Moolah. The Fabulous Moolah was also one of Princess Victoria's trainers.

Life After Wrestling

Princess Victoria retired from professional wrestling. She now lives in Washington. In 2012, she helped manage some wrestlers. She worked with Desiree Petersen to manage Rescue 911 and Lady Liberty. This was at a wrestling event in Clinton, Connecticut. The event helped raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. Before moving to Washington, Victoria lived in Virginia. She volunteered her time at an animal shelter there.

In July 2016, Princess Victoria was part of a lawsuit against WWE. This lawsuit was about the health of wrestlers. In September 2018, a judge dismissed the lawsuit.

Princess Victoria also appeared on a TV show. It was called Dark Side of the Ring.
