Puck Moonen (born on March 20, 1996) is a professional cyclist from the Netherlands. She is known for her career in road cycling and for her work outside of sports, including helping with an anti-bullying campaign.
Cycling Career
Puck Moonen has been a dedicated athlete for many years. Before becoming a full-time cyclist, she studied physics and chemistry with the goal of going to medical school.
Professional Teams
From 2017 to 2019, Moonen rode for the professional team Lotto Soudal. A knee injury was one of the reasons she later left the team.
In 2020, she joined the UCI Women's Continental Team Chevalmeire. These teams compete in major international cycling events. Moonen has expressed a strong desire to be recognized for her skills and hard work as a cyclist. She parted ways with the team in July 2021.
In 2022, she rode for the team GRV Jan van Arckel. The next year, in 2023, she worked with the brand Assos to create her own line of cycling training clothes.
Work Outside of Cycling
In 2019, Moonen became a spokesperson for Buddy Network. This is an anti-bullying campaign supported by the Cartoon Network and a Belgian children's helpline called Awel . She uses her public platform to help raise awareness about the importance of kindness and standing up against bullying.
