History of Pulaski
Pulaski was not always called Pulaski. When it was first settled, its name was Lafayette. However, there was already another town named Lafayette in Ohio. To avoid confusion, the name was changed to Pulaski.
How Pulaski Got Its Name
The name Pulaski honors a brave soldier named Count Casimir Pulaski. He was a hero in the American Revolutionary War. He fought for America's freedom.
Pulaski's Post Office
A post office was opened in Pulaski in 1837. This was an important place for people to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1914.
