Pyrmont, Missouri facts for kids
Pyrmont is a small, unincorporated community located in western Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. It's found just east of Missouri Route 135. You can find it about halfway between the towns of Stover to the south and Florence to the northeast. A small stream called Gabriel Creek flows nearby to the east.
A Look Back at Pyrmont's History
Pyrmont once had its own post office. This post office opened in 1878. It helped people send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for many years. However, it eventually closed its doors in 1911. It's not known for sure why this community was named "Pyrmont."
