Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti is a beautiful region in the country of Georgia. It is located in the northwestern part of the country. The main city and administrative center of this region is Ambrolauri.
This region covers an area of about 4,990 square kilometers. In 2014, around 31,927 people lived here. Besides Ambrolauri, the region includes other important areas called municipalities. These are Lentekhi, Oni, and Tsageri.
Some parts of this region are currently not under the control of the Georgian government. Historically, this area was made up of three important provinces. These were Racha, Lechkhumi, and Kvemo Svaneti.
