- Tanya Panda (played by Lucinda Davis): Tanya is usually quiet. She enjoys reading horoscopes. She often tries to keep the peace among her friends. Tanya and Morgan are best friends.
- Morgan Leigh (played by Melissa Galianos): Morgan is very organized and clever. She is also very dependable. She always tries to get perfect grades. Morgan often disagrees with Kevin, Roger, and Blair.
- Kevin Calvin (played by Vik Sahay): Kevin is the captain of the hockey team. He's a typical jock. He has a big ego. He often talks about how popular he is with girls. Kevin is frequently the one Ms. Atoll gets mad at.
- Ethan St. John (played by Michael Yarmush): Ethan is scared of Ms. Atoll. He often tries to get on her good side. He looks up to Kevin because Kevin is good at attracting girls. Ethan also seems to have a small crush on Morgan.
- Angus B. Noseworthy (played by Robert Higden): He is the Vice Principal. He is in charge of discipline. But he is very relaxed himself. He often starts his speeches by saying, "I remember when I was your age..." He and Ms. Atoll went to Upper Redwood High School when they were students.
- Noelle Atoll (played by Susan Glover): Ms. Atoll is the teacher who supervises Radio Active. The students don't like her much. She is an English teacher. She often gives out many detentions to the students who work at the radio station.
- Sarah Leigh (played by Vanessa Lengies): Sarah is Morgan's younger sister. She often bothers the group and interrupts them. She is known for delivering mail while on roller blades.
- Roger Richards (played by Ryan Wilner, seasons 2–3): Roger is one of the smartest students in the group. He always gets good grades. He is known for trying to impress Ms. Atoll. However, he is not very cool. He can also be a bit self-centered.
- Blair Resnicky (played by Andrew Walker, seasons 2–3): Blair is a new student. He is athletic, arrogant, and not very smart. He joins Radio Active. He is very popular with the girls at Upper Redwood. His tough-guy attitude often clashes with Morgan.
