Randolph runs for the North Carolina A&T Aggies college team. His father, Duane Ross, is his coach. His dad was also an Olympian in the 110-meter hurdles race.

Early Running Success
In February 2021, Randolph showed how fast he was. He ran the 400 meters in 45.21 seconds. This was the fastest time in the whole country that year. Just one day later, he ran the 200 meters in 20.50 seconds. This also made him the fastest in that distance for the year.
Randolph competed in the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. He finished second in the 400-meter race. Later that year, he won the event at the 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. His time of 43.85 seconds was the best in the world for 2021. This amazing time put him among the fastest 400-meter runners ever.
Olympic Gold Medalist
Randolph Ross qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in June 2021. He finished third at the US Olympic Trials. This earned him a spot on the Olympic team.
