Raven De La Croix was born Lynn Christie Martin on August 24, 1947. She is an American actress. She is best known for her main role in the 1976 film Up!, directed by Russ Meyer.
When Russ Meyer first met her, she had no acting experience. This happened at a place called Joe Allen's in West Hollywood, California. Film critic Owen Gleiberman once said she was one of Meyer's most impressive actresses. Raven De La Croix is also the granddaughter of Lieutenant William Knox Martin, who was a pioneer in aviation.
Early Life and Career
Raven De La Croix was born as Lynn Christie Martin in Manhattan, New York City. She grew up in a large family and was the oldest of eight children. Her father had Comanche heritage, and her mother was French-American.
Before becoming an actress, she was a licensed nurse. She worked at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for a while. She also had several other jobs.
One day, a talent scout noticed her in a Hollywood restaurant. This led to her meeting with film director Russ Meyer. This meeting helped her start her acting career.
