Ray Blackman is an Australian former professional rugby league player. He played in the 1990s, mostly as a winger. He was also one of the very first players for the North Queensland Cowboys team!
Ray Blackman's Rugby Career
In 1991, Ray played for a team called the North Queensland Marlins. He was a winger and helped them win the Grand Final of the Winfield State League! He even scored a try in that big game.
A year later, in 1992, he scored two tries for the Marlins. They were then called the Northern Division. They played in another Grand Final that year, but they lost.
Ray made his big debut in the top league, the 1995 ARL season, for the North Queensland Cowboys. This was in Round 19, but his team lost that game. In his first (and only) season with the Cowboys, Ray played three games as a winger and scored one try.
