Regina Stanback Stroud has had a long and important career in education. Before becoming Chancellor, she held many leadership roles at different colleges.
Leading Colleges
From 2011 to 2019, she was the President of Skyline College. Before that, she served as the Vice President of Skyline College from 2001 to 2011. She also worked as the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development at Mission College in Santa Clara from 1997 to 2001.
Teaching and Research
Besides her leadership roles, she has also been a professor. She taught nursing at Santa Ana College. She was also a visiting professor at Mills College and an adjunct professor at San Francisco State University, teaching about educational leadership. Her studies focused on making education fair for all students. She also looked at how schools and businesses could work together. Another interest was how to help communities grow and create jobs.
