Ribsy's Big Chase and a New Ride
Ribsy is not allowed in the car at first. He chases the car, running super fast, up to 25 miles per hour! Finally, he gets to ride inside. At the shopping mall, Ribsy waits in the car. He figures out how to lower the electric window by pushing a button.
Lost at the Mall: Ribsy's Mistake
Ribsy wants to go back to wait for Henry. He jumps into a car that smells new, thinking it's his family's car. But it's not! A different family, with several kids, gets into the car and takes Ribsy home with them.
Ribsy's Escape from a Bubble Bath
At the new house, Ribsy gets a bubble bath, which he probably doesn't enjoy much! He manages to escape and starts wandering around. He is determined to find his way back to Henry.
Meeting New People: Mrs. Frawley
Ribsy meets an old lady named Mrs. Frawley. She first tells him to go away. But when Ribsy raises his paw as if to say hello, she invites him inside. She gives him dinner, and he falls asleep while she goes shopping for a new pet.
Ribsy's New Outfit and Another Escape
Mrs. Frawley buys Ribsy a coat and a colorful leash. Ribsy doesn't like wearing them. He quickly escapes again, continuing his search for Henry.
Becoming a School Mascot
Soon, Ribsy finds himself at an elementary school. He becomes the unofficial mascot for a class of students. Everyone loves him! However, he gets into a little trouble with a squirrel. Because of this, he is asked to leave the school.
Football Hero: Ribsy Scores!
Later, Ribsy sneaks into a high school football game. He wanders onto the field during the game. Amazingly, he makes the game-winning tackle! A boy catches him, and everyone thinks Ribsy is his dog. The boy is happy with all the attention.
Henry Hears the News
The story of Ribsy's football fame reaches the Huggins family. They try to get him back. But Ribsy hears Henry's voice on the phone and escapes once more. He runs off to find Henry himself.
The Tennis Ball Boy and Happy Reunion
Ribsy is later found by a boy named Larry who has a tennis ball. Larry lives in an apartment building and decides to keep Ribsy. But when Larry's landlady sees Ribsy, Larry gets scared. He hides Ribsy on a fire escape.
Found at Last!
As the Huggins family drives through the neighborhood, still searching, they spot Ribsy on the fire escape! Mr. Huggins gets help from some nearby workers to rescue Ribsy. Ribsy is finally reunited with Henry, and they are both very happy. The Hugginses offer Larry a reward and help him talk to his landlady. Then, Ribsy sits happily beside Henry as they drive home, together at last.
