Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick (1428–1471) was a very powerful English noble. He was so influential that people called him "Warwick the Kingmaker." He lived during a time of great conflict in England known as the Wars of the Roses. This was a series of wars fought between two branches of the royal family, the House of Lancaster and the House of York. Richard Neville was known for switching his support between the two sides, which often decided who would be king.

Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury (1400–1460) was another important leader during the Wars of the Roses. He was a strong supporter of the Yorkist side. He was also the father of Richard Neville, the "Kingmaker."
