Riki's Early Life and Music Journey
Riki was born in Segrate, Italy, on February 4, 1992. He grew up in Pessano con Bornago, near Milan. When he was younger, he was interested in acting and took some classes. However, he soon realized that music was his true passion.
At seventeen, Riki started taking singing lessons. This helped him prepare for his future in music. In 2016, he joined the sixteenth season of Amici di Maria De Filippi. This is a very popular Italian talent show. He did very well on the show, finishing as the runner-up. A dancer named Andreas Muller won that season.
While he was still on Amici di Maria De Filippi, Riki signed a contract with Sony Music Italy. This is a major record company.
First Music Releases
On May 5, 2017, Riki released his first song, "Perdo le parole." This song was also the title of his first music collection, called an EP. An EP is like a mini-album with a few songs. "Perdo le parole" quickly became popular, reaching number 11 on the Italian music charts.
His EP, Perdo le parole, came out on May 19, 2017. It went straight to number one on the Italian Albums Chart. After only two weeks, it was certified Gold. This means it sold a lot of copies!
In September 2017, Riki talked about his new album and first tour in an Italian magazine. On September 29, 2017, he released "Se parlassero di noi." This was the first song from his next album, Mania, which came out on October 20, 2017.
Riki also took part in the Sanremo Music Festival 2020. This is a very important music competition in Italy. He sang the song "Lo sappiamo entrambi" ("We both know").
