The community of Rinehart has an interesting history. A post office was opened there in 1901. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years until it closed in 1953.
The name "Rinehart" comes from a person named Hollis Rinehart. He was important because he built a railroad tunnel nearby. The community was named in his honor.
