Robert Jordan was a talented First baseman in Negro Leagues history. He was born on August 8, 1867, and passed away on April 23, 1931. He played baseball for many years before the main Negro National League was even created.

Playing with the Cuban X-Giants
In 1903, Robert Jordan was 29 years old. He played as a first baseman for the Cuban X-Giants. This team had many famous players of that time. Some of his teammates included Charlie Grant, Jap Payne, Rube Foster, and Big Bill Smith. Robert Jordan played with the X-Giants for at least three seasons.
Moving to New Teams
After his time with the Cuban X-Giants, Jordan moved to a new team. In 1906, he joined the Philadelphia Giants for one year. The next year, in 1907, he played for the Brooklyn Royal Giants. He was an important player in the early days of Negro League baseball.
