Roberto "Oveja" Telch (born November 6, 1943 – died October 12, 2014) was a famous Argentine football player. He was known as "Oveja," which means "Sheep" in Spanish. Roberto was born in San Vicente, a town in the Córdoba Province of Argentina.
He played as a central midfielder, a key position in the middle of the field. Telch spent most of his career playing for San Lorenzo, one of Argentina's biggest football clubs. He helped San Lorenzo win four major league championships. Roberto also played for the Argentina national football team and represented his country in the 1974 FIFA World Cup.
After he stopped playing, Telch became a football manager for several teams. He also worked for many years helping to train young players at San Lorenzo. Roberto Telch passed away in Buenos Aires at the age of 70 due to a heart attack.
