Rochelle Aytes (born May 17, 1976) is an American actress and model. She is famous for her roles in TV shows and movies. You might know her as April Malloy from the ABC drama series Mistresses. She also voiced Rochelle in the popular video game Left 4 Dead 2.
Rochelle Aytes has appeared in many other shows and films. These include Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five-0, and S.W.A.T.. She also starred in movies like White Chicks and Madea's Family Reunion.

Early Life and School
Rochelle Aytes was born in Harlem, a neighborhood in New York City. She went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, which is a famous school for arts. After high school, she studied Fine Arts at State University of New York at Purchase college. She earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Before becoming an actress, Rochelle started her career as a model. She appeared in commercials for big companies. Some of these companies include McDonald's, L'Oreal, Coca-Cola, and Mercedes-Benz.
Acting Career Highlights
Rochelle Aytes started her film career in 2004. Her first movie was the comedy White Chicks, where she played a character named Denise Porter. She also played Lisa Breaux in Tyler Perry's movie Madea's Family Reunion. In this film, she played a woman dealing with a difficult relationship.
In 2006, she was in the first episodes of Tyler Perry's House of Payne. Aytes also lent her voice to the character Rochelle in the video game Left 4 Dead 2. In 2007, she appeared in the TV series Bones as Felicia Saroyan. She also starred in the independent horror film Trick 'r Treat. Later, she played Leigh Barnthouse in the Fox series Drive. She also had a role in the popular CBS show NCIS.
From 2009 to 2010, Aytes was a main character in the ABC drama The Forgotten. She played Detective Grace Russell, who worked with a group to solve cases of missing people. She also had a recurring role in Detroit 1-8-7 as prosecutor Alice Williams. In 2011, she appeared in Desperate Housewives as Amber James. She also starred in the ABC sitcom Work It in 2012.
In 2012, Rochelle Aytes got a lead role in the ABC drama series Mistresses. She played April Malloy, one of four female friends. The show premiered in 2013 and was very popular. In the same year, she played Perri "Pebbles" Reid in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. This movie was about the famous music group TLC.
Aytes also joined the cast of the CBS crime show Criminal Minds in 2013. She played Dr. Savannah Hayes, the girlfriend of Special Agent Derek Morgan. When the actor who played Derek Morgan, Shemar Moore, moved to the show S.W.A.T., Rochelle Aytes later joined him. She now plays Nichelle Carmichael, his character Hondo's girlfriend, on S.W.A.T.. She became a main cast member in season 6.
In 2024, Aytes was cast in a new CBS medical-mystery series called Watson. She will play Mary Morstan, who is Dr. Watson's ex-wife from the Sherlock Holmes stories. Because of this new role, she might appear less often on S.W.A.T..
