Running for President
After the Democratic primaries, Rocky De La Fuente decided to run for president as an independent candidate. He wanted to offer voters another choice. His campaign was called "Rocky 2016 LLC." It was based in San Diego, California. The campaign's slogan was "We The People."
New Parties and Nominations
Rocky De La Fuente started his own political group called the American Delta Party. He became its presidential candidate. His running mate, who would be vice president, was Michael Steinberg.
De La Fuente also received a nomination from another group, the Reform Party. This party allowed him to be on the ballot in a few states. These states included Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi. This meant people in those states could vote for him.
