Rolando Navarrete (born February 14, 1957) is a Filipino former professional boxer. He competed in boxing from 1973 to 1991. He was a world champion, holding the WBC super featherweight title. He held this title from August 1981 until May 1982.

Rolando Navarrete was a very skilled boxer. He was famous for hitting very hard. People knew him as a "slugger." He was one of the best Filipino boxers who could knock out opponents.
Rolando first fought for a world title in 1980. He faced the famous boxer Alexis Argüello. Rolando lost this fight.
On August 29, 1981, he won the WBC Super featherweight title. He knocked out Cornelius Boza-Edwards in the 5th round. This big fight happened in Italy.
He defended his title against Choi Chung-Il from Korea. Rolando stopped Choi in the 11th round. This fight took place in Manila in January 1982.
In his second title defense, he fought Rafael "Bazooka" Limón. This match was in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rolando was ahead on points. However, Limón knocked him out in the 12th round. After this loss, Rolando's boxing career changed. He did not have many big fights after that.
After some time away from boxing, Rolando went back to the Philippines. He had several comeback fights. In one of these fights, he won against his old opponent, Limón. He won by decision in a 10-round match.
During his comeback, he was in a boxing film. It was called Kambal Na Kamao: Madugong Engkwentro. He was in the movie with another boxer, Rolando Bohol. The film was released in mid-1988. After some losses, he decided to stop boxing for good.
Rolando Navarrete lives in General Santos today. He has seven children. One of his sons, Rolando Jr., is a professional mixed martial artist. He fights using his mother's last name, Rolando Dy.
Rolando still trains sometimes. He uses a heavy bag at his home. He also sells fish to earn money.
The World Boxing Council ranks Rolando as the 9th best super featherweight champion ever. In 2007, Rolando was part of "Kamao." This was an episode of the award-winning program Sine Totoo. "Kamao" was about the sport of boxing. It also told the story of the former world featherweight champion.
