Rolf Sagen (born December 21, 1940 – died April 6, 2017) was a Norwegian writer. He was known for writing many different types of books. He wrote novels, short stories, and even books for children. He also helped manage a special school where people learned to write, called the Bergen Academy of Writing.

Rolf Sagen's Books

Rolf Sagen wrote many books during his life. His very first book was a collection of poems called Dørklinker. It came out in 1968. This book was so good that it won a special award called the Tarjei Vesaas' debutantpris. This prize is given to new writers.

Later, in 1976, he won another important award. This was the Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature for his novel Mørkets gjerninger. This award is given by critics who review books.
